Pomona CA -- Thursday Pit Report: Craig Treble took the lead in NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Bike qualifying Thursday at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway.

Treble earned the No. 1 spot with a 7.119 at 181.91 mph. "It was a great run on the bottom, with plenty of room for improvement on the back half." Explained Treble. "We were 1.06 in 60 feet and that is right where we want to be. Hopefully we give it the right tune-up for Friday, improve on the big end, and stay on top of the qualifying ladder."

Joining the Matco Tools / Nitro Fish Suzuki rider as top qualifiers in their respective classes are John Force (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock), and Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel).

Craig Treble is showing a late season charge after borrowing the 2002 bike of 3-time NHRA Pro Stock Bike champion Matt Hines to finish out the season. " We picked this bike up a few weeks ago and it has worked perfect for me. After Vegas we did some additional adjustments to this bike and it fits me even better. I need to again thank Matt Hines and the entire Vance & Hines team because this bike is one bad motorcycle."
