CHARLOTTE (Sept. 17) – Erica Enders' ZaZa Energy Chevrolet has been an incredibly consistent race car during Pro Stock qualifying for the O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals at zMax Dragway.

Enders qualified No. 8 with a best pass of 6.551 seconds at 211.49 mph, and all of her other three qualifying passes were within .023 seconds and .46 mph.

"There's some room for improvement, and you can definitely expect that from us tomorrow," Enders said. "We got down the track four times, and the car's pretty consistent. We've got lane choice in round one tomorrow, too, so that's always a good thing."

Enders went 6.574 seconds at 211.33 mph in Q1, then 6.551 at 211.49 mph in Q2, 6.558 at 211.03 mph in Q3 and 6.555 at 211.13 mph in Q4.

"The race track was tricky this weekend, so to get down the track with four times pretty close to each other is good for us," Enders said. "Do we want to be faster? Sure, everybody does. But we know we have a car to do it, and nobody will work harder than my ZaZa guys."

Enders enters the Charlotte race fifth in the Countdown to the Championship, which starts this weekend. Going rounds on Sunday will help Enders pile up points as she fights for the Pro Stock championship.

This weekend's race in Charlotte is a "home game" for Enders and her team, as Cagnazzi Racing is based in nearby Mooresville, N.C.

"It's nice to have all my guys and their families here. Plus, my ZaZa boys, my dad (Gregg Enders) and my boyfriend (Richie Stvens) are here. This is the only track on the tour that Cagnazzi Racing hasn't won at, so hopefully we can change that tomorrow."
