GLENDORA, Calif. - The National Hot Rod Association has announced the launch of a new quarterly publication targeted at the key principals of the automotive aftermarket. Today's NHRA will premiere in January 2000 and be published by Babcox Publications of Akron, Ohio. "NHRA is clearly racing into the automotive aftermarket with this new publication," said Gary Darcy, NHRA vice president of marketing. "Today's NHRA is a perfect fit into our overall marketing plan to expand our reach, while offering additional benefits for our biggest supporters. We are thrilled with the new magazine project and look forward to a long-term partnership with Babcox Publications." Editorial content for the magazine will spotlight the activity behind the scenes in drag racing and reveal the sport's role in improving automotive innovation. Coverage will include the NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series, the NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series and the Sears Craftsman E.T. Series. "We're proud to be on the NHRA team, producing a publication that will broaden the acclaim of the engineering, parts, race car setups and crews that support the sport and make drag racing so stimulating," said Bill Babcox, president of Babcox Publications, Inc.

The initial circulation of Today's NHRA is expected to be more than 170,000.
