Jeg looks to make a charge

Jeg Coughlin has scored one win in NHRA's most competitive professional class this season and is looking to add to the win column at Memphis Motorsports Park. The two-time Pro Stock champion is looking forward making some noise before the 2003 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing season comes to a close.

"We have seen our performance as a team look pretty solid the last couple of races," commented Jeg. "We just need to stay focused and continue to do what we are doing. Our in-house engine group has been working hard on getting us more horsepower under the hood of our Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier. We are starting to see some gains and that creates additional excitement surrounding our program."

Jeg will enter the 19th event of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series sitting in the No. 3 spot in the championship. He has 1134 points and trails the No. 2 position by 260 points or 13 rounds.

"We are focused on having a strong finish as a team," said Jeg. "We need to put ourselves in a position to win and carry that momentum through the rest of the season."
