STANTON, Mich. - Marc White and the Bar's Leaks/Etterman Racing Team, one of the hottest teams in NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car right now, will be looking for their second straight win at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, Mich., during this weekend's NHRA Division 3 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event being held there. The team's major sponsor, Bar's Leaks, is also the presenting sponsor for the event.

White, from Glendale Heights, Ill., has traditionally done well in the summer months. This year has been no exception, as the team won the O'Reilly Summer Nationals last month, and ran right with the leaders at last weekend's Pontiac Excitement Nationals before a broken crankshaft derailed them in round two. For this weekend, however, White feels the trick will be getting the car down the track, not running record times.

"Stanton is a track you have to finesse the car to get it down," said White. "It's not somewhere you put it on kill. Of course there is a fine line between running good there and being too conservative, and that's where we want to be."

With the event being the home event for sponsor Bar's Leaks, White and the Etterman Racing team plan to give 110% to get the win.

"We really want to win here for Bar's Leaks," stated White. "All of their people will be out there this weekend, so it would be nice to have them in the winner's circle with their sponsored car. We won this event last year, so hopefully we can repeat that for them."

Qualifying begins on Friday, followed by two more sessions on Saturday. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday. Stay tuned to InsideTopAlcohol.com for the latest news in alcohol racing.
