JOLIET, Ill. - NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car driver Marc White plans to 'pull out all the stops' during this weekend's Craftsman 75th Anniversary Nationals presented by Racing Champions at Route 66 Raceway just outside of Chicago. White and the Etterman Racing Team hope to utilize the forecasted cool racing conditions to propel them to their strongest showing of the year.

White, who lives just down the road in Glendale Heights, Ill., feels the conditions will be right for the team to better their best performances this weekend.

"With the conditions we should see this weekend, everyone will be flying," said White. "You'll probably have to run career-best numbers just to be competitive. Let me tell you, on our team, we all dream about being able to race in conditions like this. I'm sure Manzo and Payne will be solidly in the .50's. Hopefully we can put a .50 on the scoreboard too."

White feels Saturday morning's final qualifying session and Sunday morning's first round will be where the record numbers will be run.

"Last year, Manzo broke into the .50's Saturday morning," stated White. "With first round being at 9 a.m. these cars are going to be making so much power in the cool morning air, it will be interesting to say the least."

Qualifying begins on Friday for the alcohol cars, followed by one session Saturday morning. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday. Stay tuned to InsideTopAlcohol.com for the latest news in alcohol racing.
