White looking to rebound in Houston.

BAYTOWN, Texas - After having a dismal outing in Memphis, Tenn., three weeks ago, NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car driver Marc White and the Bars Leaks/Etterman Racing team have their sights set on improving during this weekend's O'Reilly Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil at Houston Raceway Park. After reviewing their performance in Memphis, the team feels they have a handle on the problem they had, and should be back to form in Houston.

White, from Glendale Heights, Ill., feels the team should have no problems getting back on track in Houston.

"We're looking forward to getting to Houston," said White. "I think we should be able to put our Gainesville set up in it and be just fine. We just want to make a good showing for us and Bars Leaks."

With Houston Raceway Park's near sea level elevation and weather conditions forecasted to be in the mid to low 70's, White predicts a fast race this weekend.

"There will be cars flying this weekend," stated White. "They always do in Houston. Hopefully we can get this Bars Leaks hot rod tuned up and be one of them."

Qualifying begins on Friday for the alcohol cars with two sessions, followed by one final session Saturday morning. Eliminations will begin with first round on Saturday afternoon, and final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday. Stay tuned to InsideTopAlcohol.com for the latest news in alcohol racing.
