Summit Racing Equipment renews as title sponsor Of Las Vegas event.

GLENDORA, Calif. (Sept. 25, 2002)-- Summit Racing Equipment, an industry leader in the distribution of performance automotive parts and equipment through catalogs and the Internet, has reached an agreement with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) to continue its status as primary sponsor for an NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series national event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway it was announced today.

The fourth annual NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals is scheduled for April 3-6 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The $1.9 million race, which will be televised by ESPN2, is the fourth of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series for 2003.

"We're pleased that Summit Racing is continuing its support of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series by renewing as title sponsor of an important event that has become as extravagant as its host city," said Bob Wagner, NHRA vice president of sales and business development. "Summit Racing continues to be an outstanding partner in growing our fan base and certainly has demonstrated a keen ability to effectively utilize NHRA national event sponsorships as a part of its overall marketing strategy."

The race is one of two NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events held annually at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"Summit Racing Equipment has been a great partner of Las Vegas Motor Speedway since the first pass down The Strip in April of 2000," said Chris Powell, LVMS president and general manager. "SummitRacing.com is the only sponsor in the history of our spring event, and we look forward to its involvement for many more years. Summit has been instrumental in helping promote this event, which has become one of the most anticipated stops on the NHRA schedule."

In addition to the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals, Summit Racing is the primary sponsor for the NHRA Summit Racing Series for bracket racing, NHRA Summit Sport Compact Series, Mark Pawuk's Pontiac Grand Am in Pro Stock, Dan Fletcher's '69 Camaros in Super Stock and Stock and Mark Horton's Firebird and Dragster in Super Gas and Super Comp. The company also is the title sponsor of the NHRA Summit Racing Nationals presented by Pontiac in Commerce, Ga., and a presenting sponsor for the Pontiac Excitement Nationals in Columbus, Ohio.
