Troy To Start 200th Race From The No. 6 Spot

Troy Coughlin and his Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier began the second and final day of qualifying for the AC Delco NHRA Nationals sittings in the No. 2 position.

In the third qualifying session Troy laid down a run of 6.942 at 199.05 mph. The run was not an improvement over his previous time of 6.900 at 198.93 mph and he fell to the No. 5 position.

Troy posted a run of 6.926 at 198.90 mph in the final qualifying session. The Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier was on the aggressive side when it launched from the starting line. The run was not an improvement and Troy moved into the No. 6 position.

I am excited about the fact that this is my 200th race behind the wheel of a NHRA POWERade Pro Stock car," explained Troy. "I think that's pretty cool. We are going to give it everything we have tomorrow and try and have an all-Jeg's match up in the final round, that would really be awesome."

Jeg and Troy Coughlin and their identical looking yellow and black Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavaliers' are on opposite sides of the ladder and could face off in the final round. Troy will go head-to-head against Taylor Lastor in the opening round. The AC Delco NHRA Nationals marks the 200th race in NHRA Pro Stock competition for Troy Coughlin.
