WHAT: Inaugural ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, the 23rd of 24 events in the $50 million NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series. Professional competitors in four categories earn points leading to 2001 NHRA Winston championships. Sportsman competitors in seven categories earn points leading to 2001 NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series championships.

WHERE: The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas. From the Las Vegas Strip or McCarran International Airport, take I-15 north approximately 15 miles to Speedway Blvd. Turn right.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 25-28.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.9 million.

Gates open at 7 a.m.
Qualifying and time trials, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

FRIDAY, Oct. 26
Gates open at 7 a.m.
Qualifying and time trials 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 2:45 and 5:45 p.m.

SATURDAY, Oct. 27
Gates open at 7 a.m.
Qualifying and sportsman eliminations, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 11:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

SUNDAY, Oct. 28
Gates open at 7 a.m.
Pre-race ceremonies, 9:30 a.m.
FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 10:30 a.m.

TELEVISION:
Sunday, Oct. 28, ESPN2 will televise one hour of qualifying highlights at 1:30 a.m. (ET).
Sunday, Oct. 28, ESPN2 will televise one hour of early round coverage at 2 p.m. (ET).
Sunday, Oct. 28, ESPN2 will televise three hours of final round coverage at 7 p.m. (ET).
