Ypsilanti, Mich., March 21, 2003 -- As your eardrums pound from the often primal beats, and you feel your ribs rattling in your chest from the waves of thunder that permeate every ounce of your being, the visceral experience of an NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series national event rarely finds a sonic soul mate.

Then there is a Kid Rock concert. The two have comparable excessive amounts of excitement and volume coming from both the participants and the diverse collection of fans they attract. Fans that crave exhilaration and live for the moment when they get to meet their favorite racecar driver or hear their favorite Kid Rock song.

From the outskirts of Detroit "Rock City", Kid Rock shares a similar zip code with the Mac Tools/Kalitta Motorsports Top Fuel dragster team. The two recently decided to combine their full-throttle proficiencies in the only city, besides Detroit, befitting their electrifying collaboration -- Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kalitta Motorsports and Kid Rock will roll out a specially painted Mac Tools dragster at the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals, April 3-6, at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Kid Rock is scheduled to make an appearance in the pits during the event's Saturday qualifying action.

Doug Kalitta, driver of the Mac Tools dragster, is equally thrilled about driving his racecar adorned with the likeness of his fellow, Detroit-area native and resident. "The KISS dragster was such a big hit with fans, I can only imagine what they'll do when they get a look at this Kid Rock machine," Kalitta noted. "I love rock n' roll music, its all about energy and intensity. A good rock song just gets everyone pumped."
