Troy looks to improve on day two

Troy Coughlin started the weekend by making a solid baseline pass from start to finish. The JEG'S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier posted a 6.875 at 200.02 mph during the opening qualifying session. The run was good enough to put Troy in the No. 15 qualifying position.

"We left a little on the table in the opening session," said Troy. "We will look at all of the data from both cars and have a firm baseline set up for the second session."

In the second qualifying session Troy posted a 6.910 at 199.02 mph. He made the 19th quickest run of the session. Troy will begin the second day of qualifying looking to improve from the No. 16 position.

"We will need to make a solid run in the morning," said Troy. "Our group is more then capable of breaking into the field. We will just have to make sure we have all of our I's dotted and T's crossed."
