O'GRADY NAMED ACCOUNT DIRECTOR FOR NHRA

GLENDORA, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2005) -- NHRA announced today that Joe O'Grady has been promoted to account director, effective immediately. In his new position, O'Grady will take on additional responsibilities working with The Coca-Cola Company, Coca-Cola Enterprises and the POWERade brand, sponsor of NHRA's premier professional series, the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, in the areas of planning, market activation and market promotion.

"Joe has played an important part in forging our strong relationship with The Coca-Cola Company, Coca-Cola Enterprises and the POWERade brand," said Glen Cromwell, vice president of national event marketing at NHRA. "His new position as account director is not only to recognize his commitment and hard work on behalf of NHRA and our relationship with our series sponsor, but to further enhance his role in the coordination and execution between Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Enterprises, POWERade and NHRA."

O'Grady, who started with NHRA at the beginning of the 2002 season, will maintain his current responsibilities in addition to undertaking the tasks of working with the bottlers and marketing offices of Coca-Cola nationwide on planning and activation of marketing and retail promotions in conjunction with the national events, as well as on a national level.

Prior to being elevated to account director, O'Grady served as a senior marketing services manager responsible for the POWERade relationship with NHRA.

Headquartered in Glendora, Calif., the NHRA is the primary sanctioning body for the sport of drag racing in the United States. It presents 23 national events through its NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. The NHRA has 80,000 members and 140 member tracks. The NHRA-sanctioned sportsman and bracket racing series' provide competition opportunities for drivers of all levels. The NHRA develops the stars of tomorrow by offering the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series, NHRA Summit Racing Series, and the NHRA Street Legal Program. The NHRA also offers the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League for youths ages 8 to 17.
