BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - After experiencing disappointing first round losses at his past two events, NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster driver Jeff Wilson is ready to get back on track at this weekend's Division 3 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Ky. Wilson and his Associated Builders & Contractors/Starcon backed team look to return to the dominating form that netted them a win earlier in the year in Stanton, Mich.

Wilson, from Winfield, Mo., feels that getting back to the championship level of performance is not that far away. The former Division 3 Champ cites that a strong qualifying effort is a key.

"We are basically trying to get back on track this weekend," said Wilson. "Bowling Green is a better track than Edgewater, so hopefully we will not have the problems of overpowering the track we have had in the past. Qualifying strong is really a key element to doing well. That way you don't have to run quite as strong a car in the first round and you don't have to be right on the ragged edge."

With hot conditions forecasted for this weekend, Wilson expects it to still be a tricky track to get down.

"It's probably going to be hot and greasy this weekend," stated Wilson. "We just hope to do well here this weekend so we can kind of get a run on Indy next weekend."

Qualifying starts Friday afternoon with one session, followed by two more sessions on Saturday. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday.
