Troy Coughlin and his JEG'S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier started the final day of qualifying looking to improve from the No. 13 position.

In the fourth qualifying session Troy posted a run of 6.852 at 200.80 mph. The run was not an improvement and Troy slipped to the No. 16 position.

"We were hoping to make a better run and improve our qualifying position in the fourth session," said Troy.

Troy Coughlin and his yellow and black Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier was on the bump spot going into the final qualifying session and remained in the No. 16 position by the close of qualifying. Troy made a pass of 6.857 at 200.98 mph in the heat of the day.

"If we can get my car to go straight down low and calm down the wheel speed this car is going to fly," explained Troy. "I am confident we well be ready for battle tomorrow."

Troy Coughlin will line up next to Kurt Johnson in the opening round of the 49th Annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.
