Mace Security International and KPK Motorsports seek Indy Pro Stock title.

CLERMONT, Ind. -- In motorsports, the 48th annual NHRA Mac Tools U.S. Nationals being held this weekend at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP), is to the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series as the Indianapolis 500 is to the IRL and the Daytona 500 is to Winston Cup.

In drag racing each and every driver, professional and sportsman alike, in addition to winning a point championship, has one goal that tops the list. That goal is to win the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.

With newly announced marketing partner Mace Security International, Inc. ("Mace") (www.mace.com) debuting at the prestigious event, Kenny Koretsky, from Richboro, Pa., owner of KPK Motorsports, feels he has his best shot to date at capturing the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals title.

"We took some time off between the races in Chicago and Brainerd and addressed the problems that were affecting our performance, especially our engine program," said Koretsky. When we returned at Brainerd, we shocked a lot of the Pro Stock car establishment by qualifying. We then backed that up with an elapsed time right at the top of the chart at the Indy testing session last week. Right now I feel we have the best opportunity that I have ever had to make the field at Indy and then, if we make the field and have some luck, this Mace Chevy Cavalier has as good a shot as anybody to take the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals title.

"With the hectic pace of introducing Mace as our new marketing partner and preparing the car graphics and team apparel for Indy, I have placed all the Indy racing operations in the hands of (crew chief) Eddie Guarnaccia and his crew. Eddie, Tom (Pierson) and Joe (Cunningham) have been with me for several seasons and are as good as they come. I know that we'll be ready to race when qualifying begins Friday."

Mace Security International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MACE), headquartered in Mount Laurel, N.J., is the country's first publicly traded company to focus on growth in the car wash industry. Operating under the brand name Super Bright Car Wash & Express Detailing, Mace owns and operates numerous full service and exterior only car washes throughout the United States providing a complete line of car care services. Mace also owns and operates five truck wash service facilities.

Additionally, led by its highly recognized Mace® brand product line, Mace is also a leading manufacturer of less-than-lethal defense sprays for consumers and has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing, marketing and retailing products and services in several sectors of the security products industry including electronic and chemical security products, security training, child safety products and private corrections integration systems.

Louis D. Paolino, Jr., CEO of Mace Security International, Inc., reflected on Mace's use of motorsports, " We're exploring the use of motorsports and its heightened popularity to generate greater product recognition so that ultimately we create a pull through for our product line, thus creating additional opportunity for our dealers to enjoy greater sales. Now it's very difficult, as diverse as we are, using the name Mace, to ultimately do that. Our goal for motorsports is, through KPK Motorsports, to provide the vehicle to make that happen. We are exploring with Kenny Koretsky several ways to facilitate the effort. Hopefully, the next seven races is enough time to show tangible results."

"My entire crew and staff is excited about the marketing partnership with Mace and look forward to discussing their products with the brand-savvy and brand-loyal fans that attend and follow the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Our performance on the track will equate to additional television time and fan exposure, which will equate to additional name recognition for the complete line of Mace security products and for Super Bright Car Wash & Express Detailing," stated Koretsky.
