Weather continues to dominate Indy U.S. Nationals cancelled, resumes next weekend

CLERMONT, Ind. (August 31, 2003) -- All day rains have caused a postponement to the 49th Mac Tools U.S. Nationals until next weekend.

Action will begin once again on Friday (September 5th) evening with one professional qualifying session and conclude on Saturday (September 6th) with two additional qualifying opportunities. The Budweiser Shootout at Indianapolis will also be run on Saturday. Eliminations will be held Sunday (September 7th).

Cory McClenathan and the Darrell Gwynn-owned, NY Yankees- and Berryman Products- backed Top Fuel dragster is currently sixth on the Top Fuel ladder by virtue of a 4.591 second pass in Friday's first session.

Shawn Gann aboard the Mac Tools/Berryman Products Suzuki ran a pass of 7.198 second at 185.38 mph to claim second in Pro Stock Bike.
