NHRA U.S. Nationals rescheduled for September 5-7; Millican to race in IHRA North American Nationals

Clay Millican of Team 104+ Octane Boost/Lehman Racing was in the ninth position after two rounds of qualifying on Saturday at the NHRA U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park, but will be unable to continue in the race, as rain canceled the event for the remainder of the weekend.

The U.S. Nationals will be made up next week on September 5-7, but Millican and his crew will be competing in the IHRA North American Nationals in Epping, N.H., and therefore will be unable to compete in the elimination rounds of the U.S. Nationals.

Millican, the 2001 and 2002 IHRA Top Fuel Champion, is the current leader in the IHRA Top Fuel points standings, and will look to increase his lead in Epping. He is 204 points ahead of his nearest competitor, Bruce Litton.
