TOPEKA, Kansas -- The best bracket racers in the Midwest will be in Topeka this weekend as Heartland Park Topeka will host the NHRA West Central Division Summit Racing Series Finals, Sept. 17-19.

More than 500 drivers in seven classes from NHRA member tracks across the West Division will compete for team and individual honors, as well as a share of cash and contingency money in excess of $100,000. Drivers in the High School class will race for trophies.

Winners in the Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Motorcycle/Snowmobile classes will also earn the opportunity to compete in Pomona, Calif. during the 40th Annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals in November.

Winners from Topeka will run against champions from NHRA's other six divisions for a national title and a $5,000 winner-takes-all payday. Each driver who advances to Pomona will also receive $3,500 for competing in the Finals.

Gates at Heartland Park Topeka open at 8 a.m. Friday, and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Time trials start at 10 a.m. Friday and continue Saturday at 9 a.m. Sunday's elimination rounds begin at 8 a.m.
