Atlanta, Georgia (February 6, 2007) - HANS Devices will be part of the NHRA 2007 contingency sponsorship program in 12 classes.

Winners in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock will be eligible for $500 cash awards. Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Stock, Competition, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Stock, Super Street, and Top Sportsman winners will qualify for $300. Runners up in all classes will get $100.

HANS Performance Products' CEO Mark Stiles said, "When NHRA ruled to make head and neck restraints compulsory for some classes in 2007, we thought about what we could do to broaden this safety initiative. As the industry leader, contingency sponsorship seemed an obvious first step."

Mark continued, "Jeff Garvin has joined us as part of our expanded drag market technical support team. He will help our dealers increase their understanding of drag racers' head and neck restraints needs. Jeff will be the HANS Device expert at each NHRA National event."

HANS Devices will be the only head and neck restraint that Simpson Performance Products will sell and support in the midway at all NHRA National events. Their CEO Chuck Davies said, "It is exciting to bring our renowned level of drag market customer service to help NHRA competitors get the most from their HANS Devices."
