Improving Will Be The Focus For Troy.

Troy Coughlin started his weekend with a run of 6.846 at 200.84 mph. He moved into the No. 11 position after the first session.

"We have some room for improvement," said Troy after the first qualifying session. "

The driver side headlamp came loose just after the finish line during the first qualifying session. The team replaced the lost headlamp and put four new wheels and tires under the JEGS Mail Order Chevy Cavalier between sessions.

"I felt the car run over the headlamp at about 1500-feet from the starting line," explained Troy. "Both parachutes were out and everything was under control when I ran over the headlamp."

In the second session Troy moved over to the right lane. Troy ran a 6.856 at 200.66 mph. He fell to the No. 14 spot after the second session.

"We are just a little on the aggressive side and it is hurting us down track," noted Troy. "Tomorrow (Saturday) we will have data on each lane and that should translate into better performance for the JEG'S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier."
