The clouds came back for raceday and helped to give the Pro Stock Truck class better conditions. There was a direct head wind all day that the drivers were forced to deal with.

John faced off against Brad Jeter in the first round. The yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order Chevy S-10 pulled into the right lane. Jeter pulled away from the starting line first, but Coughlin was hot on his tail. John ran a 7.587 at 177.65 mph and Jeter took the win light with a 7.584 at 176.51 mph in the closest side-by-side race of the round.

"That was about as close as it gets at the finishline." John continued, "We will head back to our shop and prepare for the next race with everything that we have."
