Jeg and Troy Continue To Show Strength

Cloud cover set the stage for the first day of professional qualifying at the Mac Tools Gatornationals. Having the cloud cover helps the Pro Stock cars deliver more horsepower to the track because the cars get better traction on a cooler surface.

During the first qualifying session Troy Coughlin was the first of the two JEG'S Mail Order Olds Cutlass' to take on the quarter mile battle field. The yellow and black Olds charged off of the startingline in the right lane. Troy cruised down the middle of the groove to end up in the No. 3 slot. He ran a 6.882 @ 199.14 Mph.

Troy commented, "That is a great place to start from." He added, "We will fine tune our set up from here for the rest of the weekend."

Jeg Coughlin, who is the current NHRA points leader in Pro Stock, took on the left lane during the first session. The yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order machine charged off of the startingline with authority. Jeg was the quickest car to the 60' clock and marched into the No. 2 position. He ran a 6.870 @ 19 9.64 Mph.

Jeg stated, "The run wasn't pretty, but we put a good number up on the board." He continued, "We have more left under the hood of the DART powered JEG'S Olds and our team has a great handle on the set up."

Once again, Troy Coughlin was the first of the two yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order Olds Cutlass' to line up on the track. Troy was in the left lane for the second qualifying session. The JEG'S machine left the starting line and followed the middle of the groove as it raced towards the finishline. Troy ran a 6.928 @ 198.58 Mph, which was the 7th quickest run of the session.

Troy will start the second day of qualifying from the No. 3 position. Troy said, "We are making small measurable changes right now to the set up of the JEG'S machine and the car has been responding very well."

Jeg Coughlin and his yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order Olds Cutlass started the second qualifying session from the No. 2 spot. Coughlin took off from the starting line with the car hesitating a little, but coming on extremely strong after low gear. Jeg ran a 6.915 @ 199.58 Mph, which was the 4th quickest run of the session.

Jeg will begin the second day of qualifying from the No 2 spot. Coughlin noted, "I think that our program is continuing to show strength and we are all looking forward to raceday."
