Mac Tools, Jesse James and Scott Kalitta going a cut above the rest at the Mac Tools Gatornationals with historic collectible opportunity

Ypsilanti, Mich., March 16, 2004 ^Ö Raucous and radical fabricator Jesse James, host of Discovery Channel^Òs Monster Garage, and Mac Tools, leader in quality, professional hand tools, have once again melded their innovative and world-renowned talents to offer a scorching, one-of-a-kind collectible to NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series fans.

At the upcoming Mac Tools^Ù Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., March 18-21, the 7000+ horsepower Mac Tools/Jesse James Top Fuel dragster driven by two-time NHRA Top Fuel Champion Scott Kalitta will heat up the quarter mile at famed Gainesville Raceway like no racecar has ever done in the 35-year history of the event. Kalitta^Òs NHRA-best 333.95-mph, nitro rail will be emblazoned with a unique, one-off ^Óflame^Ô paint scheme.

To be eternally known as the Jesse James Flame dragster, the ultra-realistic flame design will adorn an already intimidating black set of body panels that will literally be chopped into a thousand pieces after the final win light burns at the Mac Tools^Ù Gatornationals.

In partnership with the new and similarly decorated Mac® Limited Edition Jesse James Flame Box commemorative toolbox and the entire line of Jesse James flame series merchandise from Mac Tools, one thousand planks of the high-speed magnesium body will be slapped on individual plaques that provide a convenient display for their accompanying die cast replica of Kalitta^Òs pre-sliced digs.
