Jeg Looks Consistent

The two-time NHRA Pro Stock champion wasted no time getting down to business on the first day of qualifying.

In the first qualifying session Jeg posted an impressive run of 6.813 at 201.61 mph. The yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order Chevy cavalier started off the run with a sub-one second 60-foot time of .995 seconds. Jeg was the quickest driver to get to the 60, 330 and 660-foot clocks.

"We are off to a good start," explained Jeg. "It always is great to make a solid run right out of the trailer. Our goal will be to build on the momentum we have and fine tune our set up."

In the second qualifying session Jeg crossed the finish line and posted a run of 6.817 at 201.74 mph. He remained in the No. 3 position in the qualifying order after two sessions.

"We have a little more fine tuning to do," commented Jeg. "We are running the first half of the track better than the second half."
