Team Jeg's rolled out their much anticipated yellow and black Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavaliers into the staging lanes for the first of four scheduled qualifying sessions. All eyes were on the two identical looking cars as they were pushed closer to the starting line.

The team expected more out of the cars in the first session. Troy was forced to abort his run and Jeg ran a 7.011 at 198.44 mph. Jeg landed in the No. 17 spot.

"That was not how we wanted to start our weekend," said Troy after his first run. "It will be all up from here."

During the second session both of the Jeg's Chevy Cavaliers improved over their previous runs. Jeg ran a 6.944 at 199.14 mph and moved to the No. 12 spot. Troy got out of the groove at half track and coasted to the finish line and ended up in the No. 27 slot.

"We are going to spend the night looking at every inch of these cars and every single component on them," said Jeg. "There is no reason why we are not making better runs. We will regroup and be ready Saturday morning."
