Jeg Coughlin is eager for E-Town

The 34th Annual K&N Filters NHRA SuperNationals presented by Pep Boys will mark the eighth stop on the 23-race NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule. Old Bridge Raceway Park is a track that demands respect and the reining NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion is well aware of that.

"I have always enjoyed racing at Old Bridge Raceway Park," explained Jeg. "The facility has a long history of giving fans what they want. The fans are great and they are excited about all of the racing. It is a track that has seen some of the best side-by-side racing in history and the fans know what they have in their backyard. It is a place where you really have to bring your A-game."

Jeg Coughlin will enter the event sitting in the No. 4 position in the NHRA POWERade points. He has 390 points and knows there are plenty of drivers on his heels.

"Our program is going in the right direction and we just need to keep doing what we are doing," said Jeg. "We need to avoid beating ourselves like we did in Atlanta in the semifinal round. If we can eliminate our mistakes the door of opportunity will open for us."
