6/21/04 SANTA FE SPRINGS The 35th annual K&N Filters SuperNationals in Englishtown, New Jersey was another stage for the Screamin' Eagle / Vance & Hines race team to perform. The team set a new national record and earned another win. Andrew Hines & GT Tonglet qualified #1 & 2 respectively for the weekend. Andrew proves yet again that he is a competitor and holds on to his number one position in the point standings with 604 points. Teammate GT remains close in the number 3 position with 393 points.

Starting the first round of eliminations, GT ran a 7.113 et 189.31 mph pass and took the win over Kurt Matte. Andrew then ran the quickest pass in NHRA Pro Stock Bike history, delivering a 7.020 et 192.08 mph pass against Karen Stoeffer. In the second round GT red lighted against Shawn Gann, handing him the win. Andrew followed to face Fred Collis and take the win with his 7.070 et 191.76 pass. Next up for Andrew was Steve Johnson, and Andrew took the win with a 7.028 et 191.92 mph pass.

The final round matched Andrew with Craig Treble who took the early lead with his 0.013 start against Andrew's 0.028. Andrew refused to give up and raced past Treble to take the win, break his own record set earlier that day, and set a new record with the quickest pass in NHRA Pro Stock bike history of 7.016 et 192.28 mph.
