Englishtown, N.J. Saturday Pit Note:

Craig Treble has horsepower from his Vance & Hines engine, and a championship winning Pro Stock Bike that is tried and proven, and many round wins under his belt. But at the 34th annual K&N Filters SuperNationals presented by Pep Boys, the Matco Tools team is struggling to find a combination that will produce the speeds and ET's they know their bike is capable of.

"We have had three ugly runs so far this weekend, two out of the groove, and another that had the bike do the opposite that we expected it to do from our tune up. Our Matco Tools motorcycle has 170 passes on it, and Calvin and I know that chassis pretty well, but this Englishtown track and the unreal weather conditions have our combination acting completely different that it has in the past."

"We're actually overpowering the track, and if we can figure out how to use our horsepower tomorrow we should be able to run like we know we can." Trebles second session 7.144/186.38 was good enough for the No. 11 spot, where he will face defending NHRA POWERade champion Angelle Savoie in round one Sunday morning.
