JEG'S AUTOMOTIVE, INC. EXTENDS TITLE SPONSORSHIP OF NHRA JEG'S ALLSTARS EVENT THROUGH 2011

JOLIET, Ill. (June 13, 2006) -- JEG'S Automotive, Inc., has extended its agreement with the NHRA as title sponsor of the NHRA JEG'S Allstars event, it was announced today. The extension will keep the JEG'S name on the race-within-a-race bonus program for 64 of the best NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competitors through 2011.

"We're very excited to extend our relationship with JEG'S Automotive through the year 2011," said Tom Compton, president, NHRA. "Since their initial involvement in the Jeg's Allstars in 2002, Jeg's has increased the event's prestige which continues to be one of the most anticipated NHRA sportsman events during the season where individual and team bragging rights are at stake."

The JEG'S Allstars event pits the top points earners from NHRA's seven geographic divisions against each other in the culmination of a year-long points battle. Competitors in Top Alcohol Dragster (TAD), Top Alcohol Funny Car (TAFC), Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street vie for team and individual honors and a share of the $100,000 purse.

Next year will mark the 23rd anniversary of the JEG'S Allstars event, which is contested at the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway near Chicago. The event is televised on ESPN2 as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series show. The winning team splits $20,000 and the winners in the Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car categories earn $7,000 each, while the winners in Competition Eliminator and Super Stock earn $6,000 each. Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street winners earn $4,500. Runners-up in all categories get $2,000.

"We're very proud to extend our title sponsor of such a prestigious bonus event where NHRA Sportsman racers are the stars of the show," said Scott Woodruff, director of media and motorsports for JEG'S Automotive. At the conclusion of the newly signed extension, JEG'S will have retained title sponsorship of the JEG'S Allstars event for 10 consecutive years. "While our roots run deep in all levels of NHRA Drag Racing, the JEG'S name has become synonymous with sportsman racing over the years and our participation solidifies our support with the entire sportsman community."

Former Pro Stock driver Jeg Coughlin Jr. has been an Allstars representative six times, winning the Super Gas class twice. Other NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series professional drivers who have competed in the Jeg's Allstars event include Cory McClenathan, Morgan Lucas, Rod Fuller, Gary Scelzi, Tony Bartone and Greg Stanfield.
