Dallas, Texas (Nov. 4) - Greg Stanfield, driver of the DBP Enterprises Chevy S-10, entered Pro Stock Truck eliminations at today's 15th Annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals in the fourth position on the eliminations ladder.

In an unprecedented move on the part of the National Hot Rod Association, the field for today's eliminations was set according to the drivers position in the Winston Pro Stock Truck points standings (like NASCAR). Coming into today's event Stanfield held the fourth position in the point's standings.

"NHRA had a tough call to make this weekend," said Stanfield, "I think they (NHRA) made a good call that was fair to everyone. We all had to race under the same conditions, and we did what we had to do."

Stanfield met Taylor Lastor in the first round of eliminations. When the tree came down Lastor would take the advantage with a near perfect light of .403 seconds. Lastor's advantage would hold Stanfield off all the way to the finish line. Lastor would take the win with a run of 7.655 / 175.07 mph to Stanfield's quicker 7.577 / 177.74 mph.

"We made a good run, but I was late. That was my fault. When Lump (Brian Self) red lit in front of me, I guess I got kind of rattled me. That was my mistake, but we will get them next time."

The last race on the Pro Stock Truck schedule is the 36th Annual Auto Club of Southern California NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif. Nov. 9-12.
