ENNIS, TX. (Oct. 24) - Larry Dixon and the Don Prudhomme-owned Miller Lite Dragster posted a lap of 4.643 seconds at 312.71 m.p.h. en route to a second-round finish at the O'Reilly Fall Nationals Sunday at Texas Motorplex.

With the second-round finish to Scott Kalitta (4.596 secs. @ 310.66 mph), the Miller Lite Team currently sits in ninth place (1,063 points) in the 1999 NHRA Winston Top Fuel Standings with eight rounds of competition remaining in the final two races of the season.

Dixon (4.624 secs. @ 317.12 mph) began the day with a first-round victory over Kenny Bernstein (9.949 secs. @ 91.93 mph), improving his head-to-head season record to 4 wins and 3 losses for the season.

Dixon and the Miller Lite Team will be back in action next week (Oct. 28-31) at Houston Raceway Park when they return to the sight of their national elapsed-time record setting run of 4.486 seconds during qualifying on Friday, April 9, 1999.
