MADISON, Ill. (June 28, 2004) -- Yesterday Cory McClenathan, driver of the Carrier Boyz Racing Berryman Products Top Fuel dragster, lost not only a fellow competitor but a friend when Darrell Russell was tragically killed in a high speed racing accident during the NHRA Sears Craftsman Nationals at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis.

"The loss of Darrell Russell has caused a sudden sadness both to me personally and to the entire Carrier Boyz Racing team," said McClenathan. "I had come to know Darrell over the past several years and was proud to call him my friend. On behalf of the entire Carrier Boyz Racing team, owners Andy and Mark Carrier and myself our sympathies go out to Darrell's wife, family and friends in their time of sorrow. Darrell, my friend, you'll be greatly missed."
