Jeg ran an impressive 7.068 at 195.70 mph. The Jeg's Mail Order Chevrolet Cavalier ended the first qualifying session in the No. 3 position.

"Coming out of the trailer and running strong is always great. To do it in front of family, friend, associates at Jeg's and all of the NHRA fans is a great feeling," said Jeg.

During the first session Troy also made an impressive run in front of the hometown crowd. He ran a 7.077 at 196.44 mph and moved into the No. 4 spot.

"The track was tricky for a lot of the teams. Our guys made some great calls and the Jeg's Chevy Cavalier responded well from start to finish," commented Troy.

Jeg and Troy Coughlin improved during the second session when they ran side-by-side. Troy was the quicker of the two. He ran a 7.021 at 196.27 mph and slipped to the No. 10 position. Jeg fell to the No. 20 spot with his 7.047 at 195.48 mph run.

"We did not make as good a run as what we were looking for in the second session. The weather was changing quickly and that probably hurt us. Team Jeg's will be ready tomorrow when the conditions are expected to improve," commented Troy.

"My car really started moving around a lot down track. Our half-track times looked solid. We will just come out tomorrow and make a better run," said Jeg.
