Chicago Pneumatic announces sponsorship of Cagnazzi Racing & Erica Enders

ROCK HILL, S.C. (April 5, 2005) -- Leading global automotive tool manufacturer Chicago Pneumatic announced today that the company has agreed to an associate sponsorship marketing partnership with National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Pro Stock team Cagnazzi Racing and driver Erica Enders. The agreement begins with the April 8-10 O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park.

Chicago Pneumatic will activate the sponsorship through product promotion, advertising, promotional collateral materials, at-track hospitality, merchandising, and autograph appearances with Enders at race tracks and trade shows.

"We chose Cagnazzi Racing as our marketing partner because the team shares Chicago Pneumatic's dedication to excellence and commitment to success," said Jay Lewis, Chicago Pneumatic National Sales Manager, Vehicle Service Business. "We're also excited to work with Erica at the earliest stage of what we believe will be a very impressive professional racing career."

Cagnazzi Racing, based in Mooresville, N.C., has dedicated more talent, resources and technology to the development of its NHRA Pro Stock Chevrolet Cavalier racing program than any team in the division's history. Last year in startup mode, the team's driver, Steve Johns, finished an impressive eighth in points. As a factory GM team, Cagnazzi Racing is building the new racing version of Chevrolet's Cobalt, which will debut later this year. More information is at www.CagnazziRacing.com.

Enders, 21, has been a drag racer since age 8. She has won hundreds of elimination and qualifying rounds, and 44 events. Her last victory, in the Super Gas Division, came last April in Houston. She is only the fifth woman in history to compete in the extremely competitive NHRA Pro Stock Division.

A student at Texas A&M University in College Station, Enders is also one of the best-known young women in America. In 2003, Disney Channel produced a movie about her life, "Right on Track". Last year, Disney Channel viewers honored it as the most popular sports movie of the year. It continues to rotate in the Disney Channel inventory with consistently high ratings. Enders has also appeared on ABC's Good Morning America, ESPN, TNN, TeenTalk, Hard Copy and Extra.

Chicago Pneumatic's Vehicle Service Business, headquartered here, engineers, manufactures and markets a complete line of pneumatic, cordless and electric power tools for the professional vehicle technician. The company is dedicated to continually providing the best in design, ergonomics, quality and performance for professional vehicle technicians and consumers who depend on their tools.
