The JEG’S Mail Order Team showed plenty of strength last year at the inaugural Winston NO BULL Showdown. Jeg and Troy Coughlin met in the final round of Pro Stock and gave the fans one of most interesting match ups of the weekend.
There was plenty of yellow and black on the track when the brothers and teammates battled for the coveted Winston Showdown title. Jeg Coughlin, Jr. left with the trophy, but the entire team won.
"When we face eachother in the final round the entire team wins," explained Jeg. "I could see a lot of excitement from the fans when we raced eachother last year. Its the ultimate final for the fans and our team."
"Our team is all about family and working together toward the common goal of winning," noted Troy. "There are no points on the line when we race in the Winston Showdown. Our job as drivers and teams is to put on a great show for the loyal NHRA Winston Drag Racing fans and to help bring an exciting experience to existing and new fans of our great sport."
Winston has supported and grown through their 26-year partnership with the NHRA. Their corporate involvement in the sport of drag racing has helped to raise the standard of the sport every year and is something that the teams and drivers appreciate immensely.
"Winston has done so much for the sport of NHRA Drag Racing," commented Jeg. "They have shown how powerful that a true marketing partnership can be. The teams, drivers, sponsors and most of all the fans have won because of their commitment to the NHRA."
"We could not ask for a better supporter of the NHRA then Winston," said Troy. "The Winston Showdown provides us with a great stage to perform on for Winston and the fans of Americas fastest growing motorsport."
