Cory McClenathan (MBNA/Pontiac) - "That was a big deal for us to beat John Force in the second round. We did exactly what we wanted to do and stayed consistent. Even the faster cars like Scelzi only ran a 4.71 so we don't have much more to go. We just have to stay with what we're doing with the MBNA Pontiac Dragster and take one run at a time. That's all there is to it. After beating Force, I can go home and be happy."

"It was a huge win for the MBNA Pontiac team. We didn't have the fastest car out there but we had a consistent racecar. We fell off a little bit in the finals -- we wanted to run better but it was a good thing the driver was on time at the starting line or we would've been in trouble. Winning the Winston is awesome. This is the best win I've ever had. We've worked so hard for this it's been a long year. We just haven't been that good of a team out here. But I tell you we took some heavy hitters out here today and we had a great time doing it. My team did an excellent job out here today. I am very happy for them and all my sponsors. We're glad to get the title back for the dragsters."
