Jeg is Focused on Scoring a Win

The Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier driven by Jeg Coughlin, Jr started the final day of qualifying looking to improve his qualifying position and get more data for race day. In the third qualifying session Jeg posted a run of 6.883 at 201.01 mph. The run was not an improvement and he stayed in the top-half of the field.

The final session gave Jeg and the men in yellow and black different conditions to work with. There was a major decrease in the cloud cover which increased the heat of the racing surface. The team made some chassis changes for the final session. He posted a run of 6.914 at 199.61 mph and stayed in the No. 7 position.

"We are looking forward to translating what we have learned so far this weekend into round wins tomorrow (Sunday) on race day," said Coughlin. "This is the first time this year we have qualified both of our Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavaliers and that's only going help our entire program to continue to make advances."

In the opening round Jeg Coughlin will face off against Warren Johnson. Lane choice will go to Coughlin. The match up will put a Chevy Cavalier and a Pontiac Grand Am head-to-head.
