BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Greg Anderson, driver of the Vegas General Construction / Mac Tools Pontiac Grand Am, is prepared for this weekends 3rd annual Mac Tools Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn. Anderson enters this race holding the second position in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock points. He and his Vegas General Construction race team have gone the extra mile in preparation for their sponsor's race.

"I am ready to go to Bristol," said Anderson of Charlotte, NC, "I am prepared for what ever the mountain has to throw at me.

Anderson, who won this race in 2001, sights preparation and adaptation as the keys to success at the Bristol Dragway.

"We have definitely done our homework getting ready for this race. Living in the Charlotte area makes it easy for us to come up here to test. We have tested here twice this year, and feel like we have a good grip on what the track will take. That is not to say we have a lock on this thing.

"Racing at altitude is always more difficult than racing at sea-level. It is a different set of rules up there. Conditions can change quickly in the mountains. It is not just the altitude; you have to be ready for anything. It is a different set of rules, but I am confident that we have something for them this weekend.

"This year I have the best racecar and crew I have ever had. Both the car and the crew can adapt quickly and successfully to what ever is thrown at them. We have been strong at every race this year, and I don't think this race will be an exception.

"If everything goes according to plans, hopefully we can thank Mac Tools for everything they do for us by winning another of their races."

Qualifying at the 3rd annual Mac Tools Thunder Valley Nationals will begin on Friday April 25, and conclude on Saturday April 26. Eliminations will take place at 11:00 AM EST on Sunday April 27
