BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Today in Pro Stock eliminations at the third annual Mac Tools Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn., Greg Anderson assumed the second position on the Pro Stock eliminations ladder. Anderson, driver of the Vegas General Construction / Mac Tools Pontiac Grand Am, protected the Number 2 position when in the final session of qualifying he drove Grand Am to a 6.864 / 200.44 mph.

In Round 1 of eliminations, Anderson was paired against rookie Pro Stock driver Taylor Lastor. When the lights went green, Lastor took the advantage at starting line with a light of .022 of a second, and held on to take the win from Anderson. Lastor ran a 6.917 / 199.80 mph to defeat Anderson with a 6.901 / 200.68 mph.

"Boy I really messed up today," said a disappointed Anderson. "Bottom line, I didn't do my job today. I am upset, but more for my sponsor and team, than myself.

"I can't say enough about my guys. They gave me a great car this weekend. The car was flawless, and so where they. I let them down today, and I am not happy about it.

"We'll go back to the shop, and regroup before we head to Atlanta. We will do better in Atlanta; I am determined to not let my team down again."
