Brogdon arrives in Brainerd with ELIMINATOR and a new ATTITUDE

(Houston, TX) At this weekend's Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd Minnesota Rodger Brogdon, Steve Kent and the Charter Communications team will debut a pair of new sponsors on the teams Pontiac GXP. Since the last stop on the NHRA Full Throttle tour the team has added new affiliations with both Attitude Apparel and Eliminator Boats.

Eliminator Boats joins the team with a multi-year sponsorship agreement after team owner Steve Kent and Rodger Brogdon met with company owner Bob Leach recently in California. Eliminator Boats is recognized as one of the largest performance boat builders in the United States, known not only for their quality, but also their custom craftsmanship. Bob Leach's insight and leadership in the custom and performance sport boat market has earned Eliminator numerous awards and racing championships over the last three decades, and both Brogdon and Kent welcome Bob Leach and Eliminator Boats to the team.

In other news, Attitude Apparel joins the team through Rodger Brogdon's purchase of the apparel company from founder Bart Price. Price had mentioned earlier in the season that for personal reasons he was going to be selling the company, ending his long standing relationship with fellow Pro Stock racer Greg Stanfield, and stepping away from drag racing entirely to attend to matters at home following this year's race in Sonoma.

Brogdon and Price closed the deal shortly after Sonoma and Brogdon now owns the popular T-Shirt and apparel company that showcases it's product on the NHRA Midway at every stop on the Full Throttle tour. "Bart worked hard to build and develop the Attitude Apparel line and it's unfortunate that life dictated this turn of events for him, but we plan to continue what he started and work hard to make it something even better" said Brogdon. "We've already contacted all of our suppliers and we're looking to add even more product to the exciting line-up that we already have. I'm sure it will take us a couple of events to make the transition but we certainly want to invite everyone to stop by the trailer and check out the Attitude Apparel line next time you're at a drag racing event."

As the Charter Communications team prepares for this week's event, it does so with confidence gained on the recent western swing. Although the team went 0-3 during the swing, the 6-second run at Denver and the continued progress that the team showed in Seattle and Sonoma tells them that they're getting close. "We keep making progress," said Brogdon "the swing was tough, but we continued to learn and from now to the end of the year we will continue to push this Pontiac hard. There isn't a team in Pro Stock that started out winning races, everyone had to learn what it takes the hard way and that's what this season is for us, a time to learn. With the addition of Eliminator Boats and Attitude Apparel we just keep getting stronger in our push to challenge the rest of the field."
