BRAINERD, Minn. - After turning in a strong performance en route to a win at May's O'Reilly Summer Nationals in Topeka, Kan., Marc White and the Bar's Leaks/Etterman Racing NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car team are hoping to repeat that performance during this weekend's Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minn. The race also is the home national event for team owners George and Jane Etterman who are from just across the border in Newaygo, Mich.

White, from Glendale Heights, Ill., expects similar conditions to Topeka this weekend and plans to use their winning setup from Topeka to build on.

"We did pretty well at our last two national events," said White. "We're going to act like Stanton didn't even happen. We're going to base our setup this weekend off what we were running in Topeka, and hopefully it will have the same results. We're all looking forward to going back to Brainerd, we always like running there."

"We also want to do good there because its the closest national event for Bar's Leaks and George and Jane," added White. "It would really be something if we can pull it off for them this weekend. Its going to be tough no doubt, though."

Despite being at a slight altitude, White feels it will take 5.60's to win this weekend.

"With guys like Bucky [Austin] and Cy [Chesterman] there, you can expect to have to be in the .60's to win," stated White. "We just hope we can make this Bar's Leaks car one of them."

Qualifying begins on Friday for the alcohol cars with two qualifying sessions. Qualifying will conclude Saturday morning with one final session followed by first round of eliminations that afternoon. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday. Stay tuned to InsideTopAlcohol.com for the latest news in alcohol racing."
