Jeg looks to score again

After an impressive performance at the last event, Jeg looks to continue his charge toward the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock championship. His win at Infineon Raceway marked the first of the season and 32nd of his professional career.

Jeg and his JEG'S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier are sitting in the No. 3 position in the NHRA POWERade championship. He has 982 points and is ahead of the driver in the No. 4 spot by a mere 4 points.

"We certainly have our work cut out for us," said Jeg. "Our goal is to win the NHRA POWERade championship until a champion is crowned. With eight races remaining on the schedule a lot can happen. The key for us will be to qualify for each race and capitalize on every opportunity we have to gain points over the guys ahead of us. Our team is up to the challenge and we will are looking to carry the momentum we have right now through the end of the season and give it everything we have."

HISTORY AT EVENT:

Jeg has visited the winner's circle four times in his career at Brainerd International Raceway. His first win was in 1997 in Super Stock. The 33-year old has scored twice ('99 & '02) since competing in Pro Stock and returns as the defending event winner.
