Jeg looks to get back on track in Houston.

The reigning NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion will roll into Houston Raceway Park looking for a familiar feeling. Jeg won his first Pro Stock race at the track in late 1997; it was only his second race behind the wheel of a factory hot rod.

"Houston Raceway Park will always be a special place to me," said Jeg. "We are expecting good things this weekend and coming to a sea-level track is always a plus. Our guys have been busy in the engine shop preparing for this race."

Jeg Coughlin Jr currently sits in the No. 5 position in the NHRA POWERade championship. He has 229 points after four races and has been to one final round (Gainesville, FL - Mac Tools Gatornationals).

"Our goal is to win the championship and successfully defend our title," explained Jeg. "I look at it like we have four holes of golf done and 19 more to go. There is a lot that can happen between now and then. We just need to put our best foot forward and put ourselves in the position to win."
