Dave Connolly Drives to Semifinals; Moves to Third in Points

BAYTOWN, Texas, April 1, 2007 -- Bravo! Brands Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BRVO): Dave Connolly used a semifinal finish Sunday in the rain-delayed O'Reilly Spring Nationals to climb into third place in NHRA POWERade Series points.

Like Jeg Coughlin, his Cagnazzi Racing teammate, Connolly felt he could've been in the finals. He started the day from 10th place following rain-shortened qualifying and used his starting line prowess to oust V. Gaines in the first round. Connolly's TORCO/Slammers Ultimate Milk Chevy Cobalt bolted from the line with a .019-second reaction to Gaines' .064. Connolly stopped the clock in a slower 6.703 seconds to Gaines' 6.684.

Connolly cruised to a win in the next round when Greg Anderson's car got out of shape, 6.682 to12.07 seconds.

Allen Johnson upset Connolly's bid to reach the finals when he left the line with day's quickest reaction time, .006-second to Connolly's .070. The winning time was 6.714 seconds to Connolly's 6.669.

"That was the first time I've done that in a long time," said the dejected driver. "I definitely dropped the ball. We had an awesome car. I feel like I let the whole team down . . . and I won't let it happen again."

Connolly, however, has won many more competitive rounds leaving the line first than he has lost rounds like he did Sunday.

He returns to action in Las Vegas, April 13-15.
