Saturday Matco Tools Pro Stock Bike Pit Note:
Late night engine rebuild helps Treble qualify No. 3.

Baytown, Texas: After a late night engine rebuild session Friday night, the Matco Tools Pro Stock Motorcycle was back running great numbers in Saturday's two qualifying sessions at the 16th annual O'Reilly Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil.

A Saturday morning 7.167/184.45 was good for best of the session, and a 7.143/187.08 in the final qualifying attempt put the Matco Tools Suzuki in the number three spot for Sunday's Pro Stock Bike Eliminations. "We're ready to go. My guys were up until 2:30am last night trying to get a motor together so we are pretty happy with our qualifying runs today." Said Craig Treble. "Our 7.14 run was soft, it got up on the edge of the tire and spun in 4th and 5th gear. I think we are setting pretty good right now"

The first round match up Sunday morning for the Craig Treble Matco Tools bike will be against John Smith on the Pete Briggs Kawasaki, and will be a battle of two former bracket racing NHRA Divisional Champions. Both riders honed their motorcycle racing skills by bracket racing in the NHRA at the local level, and both were successful enough to capture multiple NHRA Divisional championships. Treble noted, "We'll go at it here at the Pro Stock Bike level tomorrow, but we also could have a heck of a race if we both put on a box and went top bulb racing. Either way, I can't wait to go racing"
