Craig Treble to slow it down in Houston.

Houston, pre-race: For the second event in a row, Craig Treble will attempt to defend his win from the 2001 POWERade race season, but this time the focus won't be on going fast, it will be on slowing down.

"Gainesville was a good race for us, we were fast." Said Craig Treble, "Our Matco Tools bike held the top qualifying spot on Friday, and we had a fast bike on Sunday, but we didn't win the race. Right now if you have good reflexes on the starting line, you are not going to win the race. I hate the fact that the new LED's punish a rider for fast reactions, but that's what we have to deal with right now, I need to try to slow it down on the starting line."

As The Matco Tools Pro Stock Bike rider has begun to slow down his starting line routine, he has also been looking for more speed to use on the rest of the race track. "We attempted to test in St Louis Last weekend, but the weather got in the way, so we are hoping to get in a few laps in San Antonio just before the NHRA O'Reilly Spring Nationals. My Crew Chief Calvin Aswege has our Vance & Hines motors ready to go, so as long as I can win the fight on the starting line, we should be looking good."
