BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Mike Duncan scored his second win of the season with a victory in the Lucas Oil 150 at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif., on Sunday.

The victory, on Duncan's home track, propelled him to second in the championship standings - just 14 points out of the lead in the chase for the NASCAR Grand National Division, Winston West Series title.

Duncan dominated the competition, leading 119 circuits of the 150-lap event on the high-banked, half-mile oval. He crossed the finish line .807 of a second ahead of Mark Reed, with Austin Cameron charging to third late in the race. Scott Lynch, who leads the championship standings, finished fourth - with Johnny Borneman taking fifth.

Steve Portenga, who was second in the standings coming into the event, suffered a flat tire early and had to battle back from being a lap down to finish sixth.
