SCOTT LYNCH EAGER FOR A SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN
Las Vegas...Eager for his second consecutive win, Scott Lynch heads for Phoenix International Raceway and the Casino Arizona 150, Round 3 of the 2005 NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series, Thursday, April 21.
"I think this should be another good event for us," says Lynch, who drove his Dodge to victory at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif., just two weeks ago. "Phoenix is a track that I really like and we have consistently done well there in the past. In five starts we have taken two wins, earned three poles and set a new record with a race time of 114.262 mph. Now we want to do it again. Our first place finish at Mesa Marin definitely gave our Lynch Mob Motorsports team a ton of motivation and everyone is ready to rock and roll."
Piloting the 08 Dodge, the Burley, Idaho native will also boast pit stop help from Orleans Racing. "The January race at Phoenix was only 100 miles, " explains Lynch. "But this time out, we will be running 150 miles and that will definitely require a pit stop for fuel and tires. Having some of the Orleans pit stop crew should help give us that extra edge. They are extremely fast and hopefully their skill and speed will gain us some valuable positions on our pit stop."
"We tested earlier this week at Altamont Raceway Park," continues Crew Chief Robert Strmiska. "Our Dodge is definitely in first class running order. As always, we are using a Kroyer Racing Engine and everything looks good to go. We should be able to do the final dial in during practice and be in perfect race trim for the Green Flag."
A top ranked driver, a highly skilled crew, a tough vehicle and a strong engine are the ingredients the Lynch Mob Motorsports team will boast at Phoenix on April 21. "This is going to be a highly competitive event, " sums up Lynch. Not only will the regular West drivers be on hand, but some of the Busch North drivers are coming out to try their luck. The bigger the challenge, the better I like it and I'm excited for this event to get underway."
Qualifying for the Casino Arizona 150 takes place on Thursday, April 21 at 4PM with race action getting underway under the lights at 8PM.
