HOLMES WINS NASCAR CAMPING WORLD SERIES RACE IN TEXAS

KYLE, Texas (April 21, 2008) -- Eric Holmes took the lead with 19 laps remaining and stayed out front long enough to win the Allstate Texas Thunder 150 at Thunder Hill Raceway. The race was part of the NASCAR Camping World Series West.

Holmes qualified on the pole and spent most of the race following teammate Austin Cameron before he grabbed the top spot. Cameron finished second.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Camping World Series, both the East and West divisions. Goodyear provides the same tire package for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. The bias-ply tire construction provides the teams with consistent, reliable performance while keeping the costs of racing lower than they could be.

David Mayhew finished third, followed by Eric Hardin and Jim Inglebright. Holmes' margin of victory was 1.181 seconds. The winner averaged 54.479 mph over the 150 laps around the .375-mile Texas oval. His qualifying lap averaged 90.976 mph.

Holmes' victory left him second in the championship standings. Mike David leads with 496 points, while Holmes has 479.
